About St. Augustine’s
Having just been revitalised with a team from Christ Church Mayfair, St Augustine’s is a wonderful blend of the old and the new.
There has been a church community worshipping God at St Augustine’s for over 100 years. Throughout that time Wembley Park has changed, from a village on the edge of London, to the diverse, cultural hub it is today, with Wembley Stadium and the Wembley Park development just a stone’s throw away.
The church community has reflected those changes, all the while holding onto the unchanging Gospel of the risen and reigning Lord Jesus.
In September 2023, a new chapter began in the life of St Augustine’s, with the arrival of a team from Christ Church Mayfair, and the installation of Scott Furey as vicar. Joining the existing congregation, the newly united church family have a heart to reach Wembley Park. We long to be shaped by God’s word, empowered by His Spirit to love and serve the Lord Jesus.
We want to find new ways of holding out the unchanging gospel to our neighbours, friends and colleagues; that Wembley Park might be a place where the greatest praise is not reserved for sports stars or rock stars, but for the Lord Jesus Christ.
